Greetings unto those to whom these words
may come. The Canton of Nordholt invites one and all to join us MAy
9-11 for Stinky War IX where the Peasants are Revolting. The verdant
fields of Cheadle Lake Park will once again host the madness and mayhem.
This year the morning warm up will focus
on spear work, working as a unit, tactics and other arts of war. Subjucts
discussed and practiced at the latest War Moot held at Crown Council
will be touched upon as well. The afternoon will be devoted to fighting.
The Serf's Up scenarios will allow all weapon styles excluding swords
of any size and shields. The Peasants Are Revolting scenarios will feature
a limitation on weapon styles depending on the side you represent. The
noblility will be allowed the use of knightly weapons but no spears
while the peasantry will be given the use of spears but not swords and
possibly shields if the peasants are brave enough. To finish the day,
grab what you will and fight for honor and glory.
Whilst war rages on, the gentler arts will be pursued
in a pavilion devoted to teaching and sharing with all those who are
interested throughout the afternoon. Those who are interested in sharing
a skill or finding out what is being offered are encouraged to contact
Lady Isabeau de Loutre Argent at 541-981-1147. And let us not forget
Sunday morning, when the newest champion of Nordholt will be selected
in grueling one-on-one combat. For more information please contact our

Site fee is $10 for adults, $5 for 10-17 and 9 and under
free. We will have a family cap of $30 in place.
Directions to Site
**Note these directions may change slightly in the next two
weeks due to planned construction of new access to the park**
Following I-5 north or south go to Hwy 34 at exit 228 which is 4 miles
south of Albany, OR. Head east toward Lebanon on Hwy 34. Proceed approximately
8 miles until you see the road signs indicating the truck route will
split. Follow the right hand lane of Hwy 34 (the entire lane will exit)
onto Denny School Road. Follow Denny School Road south and then east.
It will become South Airport Road after a 90 degree sweeping left turn.
Go on into Lebanon passing the Willamette Speedway, the Airport and
the High School football field on the way. Follow the road until you
get to the 2nd light (the last light) at the intersection with Main
Street. Safeway and Taco Bell will be on the opposite side of the intersection.
Turn right onto Main Street. Proceed south approximately 1.8 miles.
You will pass the Super Walmart on your right. Once past the Super Walmart
begin looking for Weirich Road on your left. It is across the highway
from the Moose Lodge and surrounded by a Warehouser Lumber Yard on the
left.
